Blessing pets (September, 2007)

Rural churches have a tradition of blessing the crops, tractors, and/or farm animals. Many of our families are now living in a rural area but not farming. That doesn’t mean we can’t honor the traditions of the past while welcoming the realities of today. So, Pastor John blessed the animals, mostly children’s pets, on a beautiful fall Sunday.
