Check Presentations (October, 2009) - Habitat for Humanity and Dream Bikes
Presentation of check from the Vermont Church congregation to the owners of the Habitat for Humanity home in Mazomanie. Our congregation and Endowment fund donated close to $700 for funding of their new home which was built by volunteers from area Lutheran churches through a partnership between Habitat for Humanity of Dane County and Thrivent for Lutherans.

Presentation of a check for $650 to the manager of Dream Bikes of Madison, (a non-profit used bicycle store started by Trek), and his sales staff and mechanics. The check includes matching funds from Thrivent. The money was raised through Vermont Church's 3rd annual Bicycle Breakfast event and will go to train the members of the Boys and Girls Club of Allied Drive to learn how to operate the Dream Bike business.
