Girls' Tea Party (April, 2007)

The Little Child’s Tea Party was held on Sunday afternoon, April 29, for girls of all ages.  The hall was decorated in spring colors, pansies and  fancy tea cups.   Tea sandwiches and cookies were served with tea and punch.  Antique dolls and teapots were on display.  Paper dolls and dress up clothes were part of the children’s activities.

Our guest speaker, Jodi Goldberg, the Editorial Director of American Girls, told  us some of the stories of the historical American Girl dolls.  She helped us all  practice a proper curtsy and taught us a few words in the Nespurs language.

Free will donations were taken for the Women of the ELCA’s Stand with Africa-Water Project to help bring safe drinking water to women and children in Africa.  Children dropped coins in the water fountain for the project .  The Rag dolls 2 Love rag doll and pattern were also on display.
