Water for Africa (January, 2008)

The area Lutheran Men's Ministry group sponsored a presentation and discussion regarding a project to cap a spring and create a reservoir system for clean drinking water for a village in Tanzania, Africa. Chuck and Marilyn Roum, from Verona, traveled to Tanzania, in the summer of 2007, to take part in the dedication of the project. They shared their pictures of travel in Africa, the water project, and answered questions about the project and the impact it is having for the residents of the village who had been carrying 5 gallon containers of water, on their heads, up to 5 miles to use in their homes.
